Description
Absolutely beautiful Egyptian revival style daybed or chaise longue. Finely carved mahogany legs in the form of lion paws. Well executed parcel gilt artworks displayed on the headboard, sides and foot board of the bed. Mattress is made of plaited strings.
Similar piece was featured on the cover of Home Design of the New York Times Magazine September 21th, 1986 (see image). -
