A Modernist Chandelier by Gio Ponti for Fontana Arte

Description
A chandelier featuring a carved and lacquered six arm ribbed under dome light source which is covered by a blown crystal dome with a hand etched edge. The dome and sockets and covered by lacquered crown shaped metal sleeves, typical to Ponti chandelier's of this period. This is a wonderful example of Ponti's work for Fontana Arte in the early to mid 1930's. Gio Ponti for Fontana Arte, Italy circa 1934 -1935.
