Description
A fine mid-18th century girandole with later replaced mirror plates and retaining its original gilding that has been dry stripped. The plates with divided asymmetric cartouche frames with a profusion of C-scrolls, foliate branches, columns and fences.
Probably originally created as a wall fitment. The replacement plates are all dated September 22, 1927 and the inside of the backboard has a pencil inscription Ginsburg & Levy. -
