    One slightly larger: 16″ high x 38″ long x 12″ wide
    The other: 14″ high x 38″ long x 12″ wide

    This pair of estate carved lions is a naive copy of the Neoclassical lions carved in marble by Antonio Canova (1757-1822) for the tomb of Pope Clement VIII, c. 1783-92, Rome. One always vigilant while the other rests. The marble with weathered surface; some restorations, otherwise in good condition.
