Ceramic Bowls with Bronze Glaze by Cristina Salusti

Collection of 12 small and medium size bowls with bronze glaze interiors that can be purchased individually or as a group.
Beginning with a ball of clay, she pinches it into vessels and textures them with stone fragments. After multiple firing it was glazed and lustered. Its volcanic-like outer wall seem almost protective of its precious blue centre. Cristina Salusti attended both Tufts University and Manhattanville College, where she received her BFA, along with an MFA in Art and Education at Columbia University. Her professional career as a sculptor and ceramist includes numerous exhibitions and awards, among them a Fulbright Fellowship in Italy, a Pollack-Krasner grant, a Macdowell Colony residency and a residency at the invitational stone carving symposium in Iwate-ken, Japan. Led free. Signed and dated.
