Robert A.M. Stern Architects, LLP, is a 260-person architecture, interior design, and landscape design firm. Residential work remains at the heart of the firm's diverse practice. The firm's custom residential practice is led by Senior Partner Robert A.M. Stern and Partners Roger H. Seifter, Randy M. Correll, Grant F. Marani, and Gary L. Brewer.
Interior design and interior decoration are also integral to the firm's design vision; working hand-in-hand with architects and landscape designers, the firm's interior design department helps create unified environments for many of the firm's residential projects. The firm's interior design department also supports the firm's decorative arts program, which designs custom fixtures and furnishings appropriate to the firm's architecture and interior design projects, as well as carpets, tile, lighting, garden ornaments, architectural hardware, furniture, and kitchen and bath fixtures for the contract and residential markets.

Roger H. Seifter, AIA
Partner
Roger Seifter joined Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 1978 after studying under Robert Stern at Columbia and has been there ever since, becoming Partner in 1989. A graduate of Yale University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, Roger has designed some of the firm’s most iconic projects, including houses and private apartments in New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Ohio, Texas, Virginia, Michigan, California, and Florida. His work also includes many residential projects abroad, in London, New Delhi, Toronto, and New Brunswick, Canada.
Roger’s work has been featured in numerous publications, including The New York Times, Architectural Digest, Architectural Record, and Luxe. He is the co-author of Designs for Living: Houses by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, the Lutyens Trust America, the Sir John Soane’s Museum Foundation, the Design Leadership Network, the Architectural League of New York, and Preservation New Jersey.
He and his architect-wife live in a late-1800s Queen Anne Revival house in South Orange, New Jersey.
Randy M. Correll, AIA
Partner
Randy Correll’s talents first caught Robert Stern’s attention when Randy was an undergraduate at Columbia University; he interned in RAMSA’s office while still in architecture school and joined the firm full-time as soon as he got his degree in 1983, rising through the ranks to become Partner in 2000. His focus has been on houses, from East Hampton to Aspen, from Martha’s Vineyard to New York’s Finger Lakes to Chicago’s North Shore. He has also been responsible for the firm’s work on civic projects in East Hampton, including the library, the town hall, and the Guild Hall. His collaborative nature and his ability to translate traditional architecture for contemporary living has earned him a loyal following of clients who return to him for multiple residences; his services have often extended to the second generation of those clients’ families.
Randy’s work has been featured in many national publications, including Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, The New York Times, Luxe, and Galerie. He is co-author of Designs for Living: Houses by Robert A.M. Stern Architects.
Randy and his husband live in Manhattan. Their interest in the history and landscape of New York’s Hudson Valley led them to create a bucolic weekend retreat in Claverack.
Grant F. Marani, AIA, FRAIA
Partner
Originally from Australia, Grant Marani credits a love for world travel and architecture for leading him to Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 1984. He came to the United States to study and shortly after receiving his Master of Architecture from Cornell University, Bob Stern invited him to join the firm.
Grant, who became Partner in 2000, has designed private residences around the world —including the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and China — each distinct, reflecting a thoughtful interpretation of regional architectural traditions. He has also designed a number of non-residential projects, ranging from federal courthouses to golf clubhouses to museums and chapels.
Grant’s work has been published in Architectural Digest, House Beautiful, Architecture, Newsweek, Metropolis, California Homes, Oculus, Builder, and Architecture Australia, among others. He is a co-author of Designs for Living: Houses by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and active in many organizations that contribute to the preservation and promotion of architectural traditions, including the American Institute of Architects, the Architectural League of New York, the Skyscraper Museum, the Storefront for Art and Architecture, the Urban Design Forum, the Council for Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat, and the Urban Land Institute. Grant serves on the Board of Directors for the Design Trust for Public Space and the International Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects.
Grant and his wife live in a Modernist apartment building in Manhattan.
Gary L. Brewer, AIA
Partner
Gary Brewer joined Robert A.M. Stern Architects in 1989, at a time when traditionalism was considered almost avant-garde. A classicist at heart, Gary was drawn to the firm’s historical approach to every project. His broad body of work includes custom private residences around the country in locations as varied as Seaside, Florida; Westport, Connecticut; Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts; and East Quogue, New York, among others. He has also realized a number of golf clubhouses and a substantial portfolio of buildings for academic institutions.
Gary’s work has been published in Architectural Digest, The New York Times, Architectural Record, Life magazine (he worked with Bob Stern on the firm’s 1994 Life Dream House), This Old House, and The Classicist. He is also the co-author of Designs for Living: Houses by Robert A.M. Stern Architects and Designs for Learning: College and University Buildings by Robert A.M. Stern Architects. He is a Fellow Emeritus and Board Member of the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art, Co-Chair of The Classicist Committee, and a member of the American Institute of Architects.
Gary lives in a classic American Foursquare house in the charming neighborhood of Park Hill, Yonkers, which he discovered while working as the architect-in-charge of the new Perkins Visitor Center at Wave Hill in the Bronx.
Lauren Kruegel Siroky
Interior Design Director
Lauren Kruegel Siroky, Robert A.M. Stern Architects' Interiors Design Director, joined the firm in 2013. She served as design lead and project manager for residential projects across the United States and internationally as well as the firm's product design initiatives, which include a recently introduced furniture collection for Ferrell Mittman and a line of kitchen and bath fixtures for Kallista.
In New York City, her work includes three floors of Park Avenue offices for an investment firm; an apartment tower renovation on Madison Avenue; an apartment tower lobby renovation on Fifth Avenue; and a new multifamily residential building in West Soho. She was responsible for the interior design of an award-winning multifamily residential building in Washington, DC, and Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Ms. Kruegel is currently at work on the design of a 12,000-square-foot residence in Berlin and recently completed a private residence on Wilshire Boulevard in Los Angeles.
Ms. Kruegel received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the Pratt Institute in New York City. Her work has been published in Hamptons Cottages & Gardens, The New York Times, and Luxury Home Quarterly.
Lawrence Chabra
Interiors Studio Director
Lawrence Chabra, Robert A.M. Stern Architects' Interiors Studio Director, has been with the firm since 2009. He has been involved in the interior design and project management of academic projects including Schwarzman College at Tsinghua University in Beijing, China; and the renovation and expansion of Ozark Hall at the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. His residential projects include 30 Park Place, an 82-story tower in New York City with 157 top-end condominium apartments; the Marco Polo Hotel, the Residential Villas on Mountain Court, a residential development at 31 Conduit Road, and a private residence, all in Hong Kong, as well as a private residence in Toronto, Ontario, and Heart of Lake, a 2,000,000-square-foot residential development in Xiamen, China, and two new residential colleges at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. His retail experience includes the Tiffany Mezzanine Jewel Salon on Fifth Avenue in New York City. He also leads the firm's product design initiatives, which include a recently introduced furniture collection for Ferrell Mittman and a line of kitchen and bath fixtures for Kallista.
