Description
19th Century Carving of Sarriputta. Always kneeling to side of the Buddha, Sarriputta is a most important Disciple. Carved wood with remnants of pigments. Wonderful representation, Divine. Rear set foot appendage is joined with original nail and has natural movement. In very good condition consistent with age and use. This is an artifact with a life that has been previously exposed to elements outdoors and has a rustic worn patina of its history.
