Description
Rare 19th century Sewing compendiumin the form of a wonderful tooled leather bound book, entitled Lady’s Companion, with English C.1840. The book opens to reveal compartmentalised Moroccan leather bound holders for various size needle storage packages within a separate leather divider, thread winder, scissors, thimble, pencil, button hook and bodkin. Needle packages suppliers Redditch Needle Co. Pencil stamped L & CH, probably for L & C Hardmuth. Measures: 3.5 x 2.25 x 0.85 inches.
