Description
Important William IV period green-painted and parcel-gilt writing desk. The tooled green leather-paneled top fitted with a gilt-brass pierced gallery at each end. One side fitted with five drawers, the other side similarly fitted with false drawers. Handles, side rosettes and esctuchons in finely cast gilt-brass, lozenge shaped gilt-wood moldings, all resting on gilt-wood scroll feet with brass castors.
