1940s Bucchero Vase by Gio Ponti

  • Description
    The bucchero is a special clay, from the Etruscan times, was dried in open air and after baked in oven at very high temperature, which removes oxygen and transforms clay into ferrous-oxide, which is a black-glossy-thin paste.

    They were shown at IX Triennale di Milano 1951.

    Comes with a certificate of authenticity. Purchased from the Ponti family
