Oil on board original painting by Liliana Briante Sereni. Circa 1965. Signed lower left and signed and titled verso. Condition: Very good. Provenance: Galleria Devil Artistico, Rome, Italy. Framed in oil pierced frame with white linen liner 19.75 by 25.75 inches.
Liliana Sereni, is an Italian painter born March 29th, 1932 in Capri, Italy. Her father was the famous Italian painter Ezelino Briante (Italian, b. Naples 1901-d. Rome 1971) who was well known throughout Capri and Italy. Briante lived in Capri from 1930-1941, then moved with his family to Rome. Liliana took lessons from him in his studio when she was young, and he recognized her natural talent around the age of fifteen. She soon decided to follow her father's legacy and become a painter.
She studied fine arts at the Liceo Artistico in Rome and furthered her studies in Venice. She exhibited in Florence and also received recognition for the 'Quadrennial of Europe'. -
