    Artist Jean Bousquet was born in France and Studied at L'ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris and exhibited at Salon de la Marine. He had lived in Spain, Egypt, Brazil, and the United States. His artwork has been commissioned by King Farouk, as well as many dignitaries in Egypt, Syria, France and the U.S. In the United States he was represented by a Palm Beach, Florida gallery in 1987. Bousquet's unique technique provides a rich impasto surface to the canvas, as he paints with palette knives, brushes and his fingers. This painting was most likely done in the late 1960's. It is signed lower right and titled verso on the stretcher. Red vibrant poppies richly painted in a beautiful blue vase in a modern and unique painterly style. Overall framed measurements In original gallery frame are 37.73 by 31.75 inches. Painting has no restorations.
