Description
A pair of intricately carved 18th century English pine pedestal bases with traces of original gesso and original inset carrara marble tops. Circa 1780. Originally, these pedestals were covered in gilt and, at some point, that decoration has been removed. In the late 18th century, these pedestals would have been placed on the tabletop as a base for flowers or a display of desserts or other food items.
