An Apulian hand-painted Gnathian-ware epichysis in a black glaze, produced, circa 300-400 BC. The Greek Apulia region was a leading producer of ancient Greek South Italian painted pottery. Adorned with red painted details of acanthus leaves and scalloped patterns, this beautiful vessel possesses the archetypal epichysis Silhouette.
