Description
A stunning Venetian wall mirror, with wonderful shield form, from 1880s Italy. The antique uses beautifully shaped mirror pieces, held together with fasteners that are capped in crystal. Every aspect of the mirror is reflective and brilliant. All glass has beveled edges and etched embellishments. Delicate flowers, scrolls and dots are seen etched into the antique mirror glass. The mercury glass has excellent foxing and an aged appearance that can be seen in its reflection.
