Pair of Grey Senior Armchairs by Jorge Zalszupin in Soft Leather, Brazil, 1960
-
Description
Designed between 1959-1969 by Jorge Zalszupin these 'Senior' chairs are simultaneously understated and elegant. The thin stainless steel legs that have been cleverly designed to carry all the weight, give the upholstered curved back and seat an almost floating appearance.
These chairs show everything that is good about Zalszupin’s designs, where geometric lines are often combined with organic shapes in well-defined proportions.
Time has been very gentle to these chairs. The recent upholstery has been done in a soft grey leather with a slightly 'rough' appearance, which is particularly tasteful. -
