Set of six exquisite circa 1800 Italian parcel gilt and painted armchairs of neoclassical form having upholstered backs and seats with acanthus and rosette carved arms and square fluted tapering front legs with rosette corner blocks below bow- front seat rail. Probably originally used to line a palazzo or country house hall, this is a supremely elegant and sturdy set of chairs with many uses.
