FRENCH 19TH CENTURY HAND CARVED OAK ENFILADE

Description
An outstanding hand-carved, solid oak enfilade, made in France circa 1860. The large case piece has been meticulously hand-carved with a running crescent moon motif found all over the enfilade. Three drawers provide places for storing silverware or table linens. Below, three doors conceal an interior that provides a place for storing serving pieces and dishes. Outside of the dining room, the enfilade makes a brilliant anchor for hanging a television above. All media components can be neatly tucked away, out of sight. The interior has a single fixed shelf and can be accessed through either of the outer doors. They are held closed with a latch, while the center door has been fixed shut. The extraordinary enfilade had canted corners and is lifted by styled, tapered front feet. Brass knobs, escutcheons, and barrel hinges. No keys.
