For the past 50 years, Barry Friedman has been an important presence in the world of historical works of the twentieth century - exhibiting and dealing in artwork that span periods from Art Nouveau, Art Deco, Wiener Werkstätte, Bauhaus, and Modern. Our collection also includes avant-garde paintings, sculptures, and works on paper as well as vintage and contemporary photography.

Recognized as a visionary dealer with a collector’s eye, Barry Friedman has been the vanguard of forging new paths in aesthetic and artistic trends. The gallery’s move into the fields of contemporary fine art, photography, design, and decorative arts, has placed artists such as Yoichi Ohira, Michael Eastman, Anne-Karin Furunes, and Arno Rafael Minkkinen in major museum and private collections worldwide.
