Description
Rare large 'Tulipan' glass pendant chandelier or flush mount by J.T. Kalmar, Austria, Vienna, manufactured in 1960s.
The name Tulipan derives from the tulip shaped hand blown bubble glasses.
Each glass is handmade and therefore a unique piece.
184 glasses hung with thin chains on a large polished brass ceiling plate.
The glasses are arranged to create a large globe. This chandelier is documented in the Kalmar catalogue from 1972.
Diameter: 37.40 in
The current total height is 35.43 in, but it can be adjusted by shortening or extending the chain. -
