FRENCH 18TH CENTURY TRANSITIONAL WALNUT TRUNK
-
Description
A smaller walnut trunk, made with transitional styling in France, circa 1780. This little chest combines stylings of English Jacobean and French Louis XIII furniture. The hinges and escutcheon are both made of hand-forged iron that provides even more Provincial charm. The trunk is made for storing items, such as blankets and bedding, however it can double as a cocktail or coffee table. In a smaller sitting area, the trunk makes a perfect surface to anchor the space.
