Description
Inspired by a visit to the ancient temple of Delphi, Sax Berlin created this large oil to represent the 3 Muses as they were known in Ancient Greece. Unable to agree upon names for these mystical goddesses it was agreed to name them after the three strings of the lyre; Nete, Mese, and Hypate. Many years in the creation, these figures evoke the goddesses of the Delphic pantheon.
