Mid-century René Prou sycamore brass sideboard commode 1940s

Sold Sold
  • Description
Most likely originally intended for a bedroom, this 1940s chest of drawers or sideboard imparts a cosy, glowing mood to a space. The warm sycamore maple remains looking healthy and smooth eighty years later. Quality bronze rings and accents adorn the front of the chest, and covering the top is more glimmering, mirrored bronze. Designed by French art deco designer Rene Prou, the piece feels delightfully modern for the period and charmingly vintage now. If desired as a full bedroom set, the sycamore maple nightstands created to complement this piece are also available.
