Jean Daum French crystal table lamp 1960s
-
Description
Glass crystal resembles water flowing through a vertical river in this table lamp from the 1960’s. The base features elegantly moulded glass that streams and twists around, gradually becoming wider for stability. The crystal is perfectly transparent. When the lamp is turned on, the design is even more striking, as the light is refracted and reflected by the unique crystal base. It’s paired with a simple, modern white lampshade so as to allow the crystal sculpture to be the sole focal point of the design.
This piece was crafted by Jean Daum for Daum France in the early 1960’s, and it is in good vintage condition. The foot alone is 36 centimeters ( 14.2 inches). -
