Two etchings printed in dark brown under a monochrome wash, No.1 by G.A. Liebe on D. & C. Blauw laid paper, No.2 by G.G. Endner on J. Honig & Zoonen laid paper, inscriptions at bottom of each drawing explaining where to look to capture the perspective most precisely: ‘Il faut regarder cette perspective à la distance de 24 [/28] pouces en tenant l’oeil vis-à-vis de l’étoile marquée ici *’, each c. 52 x 71 cm. (20 1/2 x 28 in).
