English 19th Century Regency Classicism Library Table
-
Description
This highly-carved Regency Classicism library table was created in 1830’s England and features an elongated rectangular surface with a stepped and dentillated lower edge, atop an apron carved in an “encircled flower head” motif and outfitted with a pair of long drawers, with working locks, flanked by a pair of short drawers with turned pulls. The sides are carved in the form of Grecian urns resting on stylized plinth bases and joined by a shaped stretcher centered by an encircled flower head. This dramatic table would make a great desk as it can be placed anywhere about a room because the opposite side is finished with like carving! Accompanied by one key.
