English 19th Century Glass Cloche with New Intaglios

A beautiful assortment of recently-made plaster intaglios set underneath an antique English glass dome cloche. The intaglios have undergone an antiquing process that give them the appearance of age. Intaglios are one of the earliest forms of printmaking. Whereas relief printing places the ink on the raised surface of the printing die, Intaglios utilize ink in their void spaces and are then used to transfer their negative onto a fabric or paper. The antique cloche is made of blown glass and rests atop a capsule-shaped ebonized footed wood base.
