Description
A Swedish Late Gustavian elm and elm root commode, Circa 1820, the rectangular overhanging top with canted forecorners above three long drawers, a carved lower frieze raised on square tapered legs. Elm wood cross banding on top and drawers. Original brass hardware.

Origin: Sweden Period: 19th Century Materials: Elm and Elm root Condition: Good. This piece has been fully restored but retains old undulation in the top, veneer replacements, old cracks. All of these have been made good, polished and waxed. It has great color and "feel". All structurally sound.
