    A Fine George IV Amboyna and Parcel-Gilt Writing Table, Attributed To Morel & Seddon
    The leather-lined rectangular top with rounded corners above two frieze drawers, foliate-carved scrolled trestle base joined by a turned stretcher on platform bases and leaf carved bun feet, with castors.

    This table relates closely to a group of furniture supplied by the distinguished furniture making firm of Morel and Seddon for the Royal apartments at Windsor Castle. They specialized in the use of light woods such as thuya or amboyna combined with carved giltwood decoration.
