The Mid-Century Modern era of design was quite a bit more multi-faceted than it may seem. Aside from the pieces of iconic design which remain celebrated to this day, the movement was also one rich with opportunity to revisit the past. One precursor movement that was explored in the Mid-Century was Asian design, as seen in this delicate pair of nightstands. The marriage of Mid-Century design with any aesethic often produces exquisite results, such is true with these pieces.

The Montage Workroom has restored these Asian style nightstands from the ground up. Our team selected a gorgeous satin Marine Blue lacquer used inside and out. The color truly celebrates every line of design in these nightstands, of which there are many. The Marine Blue is also a stark contrast to the brass Asian motif medallion pull which is a treasure in its own right. Each cabinet reveals two storage areas; a small one on top for easy access and one much larger underneath. Generous pedestal bases raise this petite design up to the optimal nightstand height, and each piece is finished with a decorative scroll motif top which are sure to prevent objects from an accidental roll.
