Pair French Chestnut Long Benches, Early 19th C.

Sold Sold
  • Description
This is a superb pair of 19th century English or French chestnut trestle benches. The benches are in very good overall condition, retaining their original patinated surface. European chestnut is an uncommon, aesthetically beautiful wood, similar to oak but having finer graining which is comparable to walnut. The benches have been spiffed up with several coats of hard paste wax.
