Founded in 2009 by Simon Stewart, Charles Burnand is an established bespoke design firm that continues to find, develop and nurture the very best of Europe's artisans, combining their skills in unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. Heavily influenced by the Mid-Century Modern Italian design era, Charles Burnand designs and makes lighting and furniture using Murano glass, straw marquetry, gypsum, mica and other natural materials as well as collaborating with world renowned designers to produce limited edition pieces.
As well as designing and producing new pieces, Charles Burnand sources select vintage furniture, refurbishing them back to their original condition and bringing them back to life with modern, exquisite fabrics from the leading textile houses.
Lighting designed around Murano, Venetian and Italian glass also forms part of our collection and in our store you will find a selection of our designs, all made to order.
