Beautiful oil on canvas painting of a glorious sunlit park with a pond in the background and a woman in a white hat resting on bench enjoying the red flowers. Signed lower left. In very good original condition; no restorations. The painting is housed in a custom gold leaf gallery frame 27.5 by 31.75 inches. Provenance: East coast Florida estate.

Ernest studied with Jules Lefebvre & Tony Robert Fleury.
His works appeared in Paris at the Salon des Artistes Francais (he became a member in 1891) where he gained mention in 1895, a medal in 1896, the Raignecourt Gruyon prize in 1898, a medal in 1899 and a bronze medal at the Universal Expostion in Paris in 1900. -
