1960s Gino Sarfatti Model 3027/p/g Metal and Glass Ceiling Lamp Arteluce. Executed in pressed glass and painted metal. The simplicity of Sarfatti's design and the sculptural shaping of the materials make for an incredibly refined example of the lighting master's influential approach. Ref. literature: Romanelli & Severi "Gino Sarfatti: 1938-1973, selected works" p. 484. Arteluce was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the midcentury era. Celebrated in his time and beyond as an undisputed master, Gino Sarfatti's designs have been long sought after by collectors in the know. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing available from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Accommodates a single e26 medium base bulb. Modified ceiling plate for mounting to a standard American j-box. Rewired for US electrical and repainted. Some scuffs, dings, bends and nicks as largely shown and noted only for accuracy.
