Pair of 1930s Finnish Minimalist wall lights attributed to Paavo Tynell. A highly refined pair of adjustable rectangular wall lamps executed in metal with white painted interior shade that rotates up and down with original on/off switch. A highly functional design of deceptive simplicity, these wall lights exude Finnish refinement. Paavo Tynell designed nearly identical wall lamps for various well-documented hospital projects in Finland in the 1930s. Unmarked. Price is for the pair. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing available from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Rewired for US electrical with black cloth cord and period styled wall plug. Accommodates a single 75W torpedo style medium base LED bulb (lower with incandescent). Minor scuffs, dings, losses and patination noted only for accuracy.
