Elegant and unique French midcentury partially gilt wrought iron and marble folding side table or gueridon in the manner of Jean Michel Frank, circa 1935.
Though the folding 'campaign' table is composed of hammered iron and stone it is light and transparent in appearance. It is both modern and neoclassical with it's exquisite, thin iron rods and it's X-frame leg structure. Above all, a beautiful and functional object with it's unique hooking mechanism securing the top to the legs and giving the top a sense of floating above the piece.
