Rare pair of stamped Maison Jansen Louis XV neoclassical chairs 1940s
-
Description
The construction of this pair of chairs was deeply cared about, and it shows in the finished product, even some eight decades later. The chairs were made and stamped by French firm Maison Jansen in the early 1940s in their pure Neoclassical Louis XV inspired style. The beautiful painted oak wood structure has developed a stunning beige patina over time, revealing the careful craftsmanship at every turn. Shown in their original dark gray velvet fabric still in very good condition. Each chair stamped JANSEN. Another pair of chairs, and a pair of armchairs from the same set are also available. They can be reupholstered if needed.
