Description
Wedgwood Fairyland lustre plaque decorated in the 'Evles in a Pine Tree' design - a woodland scene with center elf smoking a pipe, another elf at the bottom right corner at base of tree. A third elf sits in the top of the tree. Rainbow colored ground to bottom third, purple ground to top two thirds. Orange flame mottled border. Gilt Wedgwood Portland vase back stamp, with 'WEDGWOOD ENGLAND' and pattern number 'Z5287 H to the reverse. Framed in an old, but not original, black frame.

Documentation: Signed Origin: England Period: 1920-1949 Materials: Ceramic Condition: Good. Very Good. No restoration. Very slight rubbing to gilt. Kiln effect: patches of white around the border, where the orange colour has perhaps not taken properly during firing. This is under the glaze and is not wear.
