Pair of Scandinavian Midcentury Hand Blown Ruby Red Sconces with Bronze Fittings

Description
This stunning pair of Mid-Century Modern sconces were realized in Sweden, circa 1970. They feature translucent concave glass bodies with sinuously curved silhouettes and expressionistic ruby red detailing embedded in the hand blown glass and oil rubbed bronze fittings. With their austere lines, bold and sumptuous palate, and beautiful craftsmanship, these sconces are as versatile as they are aesthetically captivating, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Mid-Century Modern to contemporary. They have been newly rewired to American standards and are in excellent vintage condition. They retain their original sticker reading "Holmegaard". The sconces accommodate one Edison based bulb each, offering up to 200 watts of light for the pair.
