Description
Strict, unadorned neoclassical Biedermeier commode / chest of two drawers from Southern Germany, circa 1820-1830.
Wonderful bright yellow cherry veneer and solid wood. Massive "stollen" feet.
Ebonized and inlaid keyring tags and ebonized platemark and inner edges.
Restored and polished by hand with sheallac (French polish). Old working box locks.
Dimensions: H 76.5 cm x W 115 cm x D 55 cm. -
