Large historicism box, different hardwoods, South Germany, circa 1860-1880.
Unusual large historicism box / medicine box / hanging cabinet.
Solid oak and cube-shaped veneer with inlays in oak, walnut, rosewood (?) and mahogany.
Lateral: oak, walnut, mahogany interned.
At the top there is a carved wooden band, at the side panels with pearl ribbon in wood.
This box was previously hung up, which can be recognized by the side hanger and the plain oak underside. Amber handle with sheet metal supports. -
