Modernist Karpen Lounge Chairs in Grey Alpaca Velvet, 1950s
-
Description
Capture the feeling of cozy conversation and forward momentum. These rare, vintage lounge chairs were made by The Karpen Company of California in the 1950s and artfully restored by Stamford Modern.
Solid walnut legs gleam with an ebony finish and polished brass sabots. Reupholstered with alpaca velvet fabric by Holly Hunt, which adds luxurious softness and charm. The wrap-around back is beautifully structured with shell-like seaming and distinctive, raised welting.
