Aubusson 18th Century Tapestry
-
Description
An 18th century verdure Aubusson tapestry handwoven in wool. This scenic landscape depicts a charming scene with a castle in the background and. large trees and flowering plants along side a feeding heron in the foreground. This is one of two panels in our collection. The palette of green, cream, brown, red and a lovely teal blue remains vibrant and the workmanship is extraordinary.
