Aubusson 18th Century Tapestry
-
Description
An 18th century verdure Aubusson tapestry handwoven in wool. This pastoral scene is composed of stylized trees, flowering plants and birds near a body of water surrounded by hills. This is one of two panels in our collection. The workmanship of this piece is extraordinary and the tones of green, cream, brown, red and teal blue remain vibrant today.
