Ceramic table lamp by Jacques Blin, with Shadoks bird image invented by Blin. This off-white lamp with green sgraffito-etched fanciful animals and birds over the trademark misty glaze with dusty effect finish is quintessential Jacques Blin. In good condition commensurate with age. Highly collectible. Signed on the underside: 'J. Blin'. Jacques Blin was an engineer by trade but with a love for the visual arts. His style is immediately recognizable. His signature glaze is characterized by a more or less misty appearance and by decoration deeply marked in the raw clay, a method he used throughout his career. He frequently used fanciful birds and animals, stylized figures and whimsical abstract motifs in his works Signed "J. Blin".
