French 19th Century Mahogany Louis Philippe Commode

Description
An excellent five-drawer mahogany Louis Philippe commode, with marble top, from France. The antique marble top is in wonderful condition, with rounded front corners to fit the body. The topmost drawer is lockable and incorporated into the apron, having a curved front. The bottom three drawers are of equal size, with a fourth bottom drawer hidden in the skirt. With the exception of this hidden drawer, all drawers have working locks and have been finished in a stunning book matched mahogany veneer. The piece rests on shaped bracket feet. c.1880.
