Lightolier Chandelier after Gino Sarfatti in Perforated Brass and Frosted Glass

Description
Stunning large-scale polished brass chandelier manufactured by Lightolier in the 1950s. The fixture consists of eight perforated brass bowls with frosted glass diffusers concentrically mounted around a twenty-inch internal ring culminating in the center with a vertically fluted shaft adorned on the underside with a decorative brass orb finial. The down rod currently measures 32" inches but could easily be replaced with a longer or shorter rod to accommodate your specific needs. Please inquire for a quote on in house custom modifications.
Many designers such as Paavo Tynell, Gerald Thurston, and Gino Sarfatti have produced designs for Lightolier but there is very little documentation attributing the appropriate designs to the actual designer. This fixture is of the same era and quality as similar designs produced by Arredoluce, Stilnovo, and Taito.
This fixture was installed in the dining room of an architecturally significant modernist home in Dallas where it has remained since it was built in the early 1950s. -
