With its perennially modern aesthetic and ebullient palate (executed by one of the great Italian artists of the 20th Century), this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century to contemporary. The work presents a human figure- realized in a striking primary red- with his arms and legs splayed apparently trying to hold two horses who on either side of him/her. The horses- realized in tones of navy and lilac, against a turquoise backdrop- appear to be captured in mid motion, imbuing the piece with a subtle dynamism and vitality. With its perennially modern aesthetic and ebullient palate (executed by one of the great Italian artists of the 20th Century), this piece would be a winning addition to any style of interior from classic Mid Century to contemporary. The work comes presented in custom gilded gallery frame. Signed Lower Right in Pencil, Inscribed Lower Left 23/50. The piece is Illustrated on pp. 166-167 of Marino Marini: Catalogue Raisonné of the Graphic Works (Engravings and Lithographs 1919-1980), Giorgio and Guido Guastalla, 1993. Excellent condition.
