Description
A fine pair of original English George III period mahogany Gainsborough Library - Drawing Room chairs, very much in the fashion and period of Thomas Chippendale.
The particular nuanced details of a fine mahogany moulding surrounding the bottom of the seat to the front and sides and the particular finely carved roundel to the arm set this pair of chairs apart from the usual. Of a standard to suit a serious collector of English Georgian Furniture.
