Description
Large, impressive original Biedermeier showcase armoire / display cabinet from South Germany, about 1820/25.
Walnut veneer and solid, hand-polished with shellac (French polish).
Nicely worked, classicist concave cornice. Set, ebonized half-columns with gilded Corinthian capitals and bases.
Original brass fittings around in the middle of the doors. Standing on four beautiful, original, curved and ebonized paw legs. Two fully glazed front doors.
Original iron lock.
Excellently restored condition.
